Rocky Tops

On the way to Oregon we had to make connecting flight in Minnesota, then on to Oregon.  I was so antsy to get off the plane.
While just sitting I looked out my window and this is what I saw....

I just thought it was so beautiful!

Then as we were descending to land this is what Portland, Oregon looked like :)

Overall we had a pretty good trip.

I ended up having to go to the ER with chest pains but they said everything was ok and that hopefully it will go away.  I feel much better after being home.

Speaking of being home......This is what we saw while leaving Oregon, connecting in Newark, New Jersey, and finally making it back to Ohio.

Oregon

So Portland, Oregon is actually beautiful in its own dreary way :). It really reminds me of Forks , Washington from the twilight books.

I only have my iPad with me so I don't know how many pictures I will be able to add during my post this week. If I can't add any then I will add some when we get back home this weekend!

On the plane ride here we saw lots of mountains with snow on them and it was just breathtaking!

The whole area is kind of old looking but so pretty when it is not raining.

Darren's cousin moved out here about a year ago and we are very excited to visit with him this week.

5 years of LOVE!!

January 7, 2007- when it all began :)  Our senior year in high school, first I love you, college, our niece Lyla was born, and first road trip together

January 7, 2008- 1 year together wow! living in the dorms, more road trips, and family time!

January 7, 2009- 2 years together :)  Living in our own apartments, Ice storm, College was actually closed for a week, Our niece Penelope was born, and more family time!

January 7, 2010- 3 years- Engagment, internship, I graduated from college, and family

January 7, 2011- 4 years WOW!  Darren graduated from college, I had my first teaching job, We got MARRIED, moved to Ohio, Went to Aruba, travelled a lot for business, and lots of family time knowing we are now going to have a nephew

January 7, 2012- 5 years! OMG  it does not seem like that many years has already passed!  We are traveling to Oregon, Interviews for possible jobs CLOSE TO HOME!!!! YAY!

can't wait to add more years to come :)

Crazy Weather in Ohio...everywhere

We have had some crazy weather this week in Ohio.

It snowed on Monday and Tuesday and stayed until Thursday.  Tuesday the high was 22 degrees burr.
Friday it was 57 degrees, so I thought if I am going to have to work out I am def going to do it outside.

So I decided to run around the loop that we have.

New Craft...

So, I am going on another business trip with Darren, to Oregon this time.
I need something to do that doesn't require me bringing my sewing machine and hot glue gun.

I am now crocheting....mostly those cute little hats.

This is one that I am going to make for my nephew, Wyatt.

Goal Progress 1st Week

I will put an update about my progess on my goals every Tuesday (when possible).




Goal 1: lose 20 pounds by end of march!
Goal 2: read my Bible everyday!
Goal 3: be with child at some point in 2012 :)
Goal 4: get an elementary teaching job
Goal 5: get an SUV!
Goal 6: post on my blog 4 times a week! (getting better)
Goal 7: move closer to home
