1 goal/resolution

Ofcourse everyone has a goal or resolution for the new year but I really think I have these goals all year lol.

One of my goals is to lose the 20 pounds that I gained since we have been married lol. I have already lost 3 pounds so I will keep up the good work and keep you updated on the progress!

Pictures will def be coming soon. Embarrassing but it will motivate me even more!

Also I have started using the xbox360 kinect to do most of my workouts so Kay be posting some tips and fun pictures from those!

Goal 1: lose 20 pounds by end of march!
Goal 2: read my Bible everyday!
Goal 3: be with child at some point in 2012 :)
Goal 4: get an elementary teaching job
Goal 5: get an SUV!
Goal 6: post on my blog 4 times a week! (getting better)

So I will keep you updated on these goals!

TIPS!

ok so I have figured out how to do a new background and header!  woohoo!

I used shabbyblogs.com
They have a great selection of designs and tutorials for beginners which helped me out tremendously.

also googling how to add tabs helped me out a lot!  If you need to know send me a question and I will let you know!

Learning to blog!

Ok so I have had a blog for a year now and haven't really done anything! Ugh. Lazy me!

My sister in law would be great at blogs and I think she is starting one soon! Can't wait to read all of her posts!

So I am going to go through my post as I go through learning how to blog!

Hopefully soon I will add a tab for a new addition to our family! :)

We are still living in Ohio, but hopefully moving closer to home soon

December 2011

Hopefully this will not be my last post before the end of the year but I will try my best! We have been so blessed the last couple of months! We have had some ups and downs but mostly ups! We are trying to move back closer to home (ky or tn) sometime soon!

Thanksgiving was awesome to be home with everyone except it always goes too fast!

We are now home for Christmas and I am so excited to be here for almost a whole week!

We are hoping to start a family soon. Just waiting for God's timing :)

Also one of my sisters in law is pregnant with a boy due in May. Wyatt Michael. Can't wait to add pictures of that little cutie!


Updates will be more often I promise! This will be my new years resolution so that I can come back and see what all happened and when.

Work trips

Darren has a lot of work trips this first year of his job to get lots of training! We have been in Cleveland Ohio for 2 weeks and get to go home to ky this weekend. We as so excited to see all of our family!!!

He heads to Texas and California for 3 weeks here soon :(
But I should be subbing so I hopefully I will be busy and making money!

By the way today is darrens birthday so happy birthday to him!!!! The big 22!

Finally an update from August

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to do an update. We have had a visit from Jon Ross, Brandi, and Penelope. It was so much fun. We went to a science museum and a few playgrounds!! My parents are coming this weekend and I'm super excited!!! We have found some great friends from our church mostly our Sunday school class!!! We really like Ohio.... Let's just wait till winter :)

2nd of July

Well alot of things have happened this second part of July. We had Darrel and Jerry come and visit us one night and it was great to have someone so close. Then we are supposed to go on a hiking canoe trip with a couple from our Sunday school class and im so excited! Then we are heading to north Carolina next week and when we get back Jon Brandi and Penelope will be here!!! Yay!

Ky visit and july

We went home to ky for the 4 th of July and had so much fun!
It was very busy but so exciting to see everyone!

I can't believe it's already July! We are going to see a Cincinnati reds game this Friday with some of darrens family and I'm so excited to have someone so close!

We are traveling for darrens work the last week in July to north Carolina. That weekend when we get back we will have visitors!

Jon Brandi and Penelope are coming to visit us!! We are so excited! Now we are going to find a car seat for Penelope!

July is very busy but fun and exciting times!

I'm still selling hair bows so hopefully the business will pick up soon getting closer to holidays!

I have to bows to do for a wedding so im so excited!

I also have started making hair bows for girls from infant to any age!! People seem to like them!

Week of home visit

We are so excited to go home to ky for a visit!!! I wish we had longer but just glad we hAve a chance to go home!
Darren will be traveling a lot starting in august so we won't get to go home as much. Just holidays.
We do have a trip coming up in October and I'm so excited.
I will be so excited to get out of the house. I am making custom hair bows and greeting cards to make some money while looking for a job.
Hopefully this will help us out a little bit

We like Ohio but can't wait till we move closer to home!

Church

We have been looking for a church every Sunday and we have been stuck on one that I think is going to stick! Highland baptist!
It is a really great church. We went to Sunday school for the first time and it was great. Slot of people were out due to fathers day but I can't wait to go back to meet more people. Most of them have kids but they are young kids.
We are making it pretty good but ready to see our family too!!
We are hoping to go the zoo this Saturday. The zoo here is awesome it has an aquarium and water park!

Honestly it hasn't been a great day. I have been unsuccessful at finding a job at it really stinks!
I miss Darren so much during the day when I am here :(.
Today marks 5 years since my grandad, daddy Neal, passed away. I really hate thinking about it because I want all the memories of him to be positive and fun!

I am missing fathers day for the first time this year and I hate that I can't be there with my daddy! I'll see him soon but I really want to be with him on he day that is dedicated to him!
My new hobby is not taking off like I wanted it to or I am just not as creative as I thought I was. I'm sure the latter.
I just wish I could help Darren out and bring in more income or just have a job to show that I am trying. I don't ever want to get stuck where we don't have money because of me.

Anyway I just needed to get that out. I am so glad it is the weekend and that I can spend 2 full days with Darren! Even if it does storm this weekend in so excited to just be with him!

I really Do like Ohio and where we live so we are very blessed!
The church we visited on Sunday was great and we are going back again this week. They have a Sunday school class for young couples so we are going to try that out on sunday!

I have now just started making new crafts and hair bows. Pictures to come of course! We need a little extra money for my loans so I figured this might help!

It is really starting to come together! We have one room done, the kitchen :). Our bedroom is the next project! We just have a couple more pictures to hang and a few boxes of clothes to put up! I'm loving it more each day!

They are wonderful!

We went to Aruba for our honeymoon and it was paradise...almost!  close enough!  We have lots of pictures to look back on in years to come!  It was so much fun to just be the 2 of us!  If anyone knows us we like to be together ALL the time and this was just absolutely perfect for us!  I can't wait to spend every day and night with him now!

This is the last night at my home sweet home!  Bittersweet to say the least!

I'm really going to miss being around our entire families.

We are all loaded up and heading out tomorrow morning EARLY!

Jon, Brandi, and Penelope came to see us ALL DAY today!  it was so much fun and I wish we could have LOTS of days like that!!  Maybe our next move will be closer and we can see everyone more often!

Just pray for us as we go on this journey without family close....it will be difficult, but for the best we know!

Wedding WEEK!

This is the week of the wedding and it is full of very busy things!

Darren Graduated on Saturday and I am very very proud of him! Now we are both Murray State graduates and ready to begin our lives together!

This is also my last week at school from my first teaching job!  It has been hectic but a good year!

So far I am obsessed with looking at the weather for our Wedding day and it is supposed to be 80 degrees with 60% chance of thunderstorms.......so I guess we will get to have the picture with my rainboots and umbrella after all!:)

You can't change the weather so might as well make the best out of it!

These next few weeks are going to be full!  I will try to update as much as possible!

This weekend we have a painting class with mom at trace creek....hopefully mine will end up as good as mom's always does!
Sunday is mother's day!  I love my momma!

Next week I have my last meetings of the school year hopefully....and next weekend Darren graduates from College!  I am so proud of him!


The next week will be prep for the wedding!  I can't wait!  I'm so excited!  We are both getting hair cuts on Tuesday..Start decorating on Thursday which is also the last day of school....Friday mani, pedi, and more decorating with rehearsal that night and Saturday is the BIG DAY! 

It has come quicker than I expected but I am so glad it is almost here!

NEW HOUSE!

We found a house!  We went to Columbus and looked at 2 house that just didn't fit us.....then we say the third one and fell in love!  We knew it was it when we just saw the outside of it!  We are very excited about our FIRST house together!  Can't wait to put our personal touch to it!

Personal Shower

My sister-n-law Brandi and future sister-n-law Vannessa threw me a personal shower!  It was so much fun!  Kind of embarrassing but fun!  The food was delicious too!

2nd shower! again!

OMG we got so much stuff for our 2nd shower!  We are very very blessed with a loving family, church family, and friends!  We had so much fun at our shower and was sad that it was over!  I have been writing thank you cards for almost a week and I am finally done!  Now just to send them all out!  We got some of the cutest things I have ever seen!  I really don't think we will have enough wall space!  I can't wait to find a house so I can picture it all in my head :)   Next weekend we are going to find a house to rent in Columbus Ohio!

I had my hair practiced on for the wedding over spring break!  I absolutely love it!  We are going to cut my bangs because they are WAY too long! :)  Let me know what you think.

Mom's 50th Birthday Party!

I am so blessed to have my mom!  I am so glad we are able to be together and be best friends.  I will never forget these days together!  I hope I am half the mom she is!
I am so glad for a healthy family to all be able to get together for mom's birthday on a Sunday afternoon.
We have steaks, baked potatoes, rolls, salad, cake, and chocolate covered strawberries.
